Privacy Policy
This policy describes what actually happens on this site — not a generic template. If a data practice isn't listed here, we don't do it.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages get read. Plausible does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It reports aggregate, anonymized numbers — page views and referral sources — and cannot identify you individually. Because no cookies or personal identifiers are involved, no cookie consent banner is required or shown.
We also track a small number of custom events (an affiliate link click, a newsletter signup, which research pillar a link belongs to) through the same Plausible integration, for the same aggregate purpose: understanding what's useful, not building a profile of any individual reader.
Newsletter
If you submit your email address to the newsletter form, that address is sent to our email delivery provider for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share that address with any third party. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you immediately.
Affiliate links
Clicking a product link on this site (routed through a /go/ redirect) takes you to a
retailer — currently Amazon — whose own privacy policy governs whatever happens on their site. We
don't see or store any information about what you do after you leave. See the affiliate disclosure for how these links work.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No browser storage APIs — no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no tracking cookies.
- No advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers of any kind beyond Plausible.
- No selling or sharing of any data we collect.
Changes to this policy
If what this site actually collects changes, this page will be updated to match — not the other way around.
